After yesterdays soaking - anything was going to be dry in comparison. Carole at the Bridge Cafe dried out gear out and rinsed it too!

We were not in a hurry as we knew it would brighten up. I was a bit worried as everyone wanted new pads, on a Sunday! We were planning to do the trail ride at the Cwmcarn Forest Centre - recently done out.

We packed and left for Halfords at Blackwood (i think). We found it - no luck. Colin rang the centre and was told to visit Ryder Cycles in Cwmcarn, only opened a few weeks ago. He did the job! Great place - recommend it. Then off we went. We finally saddled up at nearly 3pm!

The course is a figure of 8, 15km. You climb up over lots of technical sections and at the top there is a bit of North Shore. The descent was very good. Lots of jumps. Colin fell off again and bruised his other leg and ankle. Ralphs paper bike brakes worked fine. Lots of waiting around again, but superb descents.

Thanks Guys!
